Portobello-based, independent craft brewery, Vault City has launched a new stout, the ‘caramel biscuit cheesecake’.
Katie Campbell, marketing assistant at Vault City says: “This stout blends the sweetness of caramel, the creamy richness of cheesecake and the satisfying crunch of Biscoff biscuits. The result is a brew that’s indulgently familiar, with a double pump of bold flavour.”
The stout costs £9.50 and is available nationwide, through the brewery’s online shop and its tap room in Haymarket, as well as in bottle shops, pubs and craft-beer bars. Vault has a ‘beer-finder’ tool to help fans find their nearest stockist.
Vault City, which opened in 2018, releases around 60-70 new beers every year. It reports that some of its most popular beers at the moment include festive favourites such as ‘last Christmas’, ‘snowball’ and the ‘mulled apple sour’.
Looking ahead to 2025, plans are underway to move to a new site in Penicuik, by October.
The new site will be approximately seven times bigger than its current premises, Vault says.
