TV star’s book signing at Loch Leven’s Larder

One of the UK's best-loved actresses, Caroline Quentin, will be appearing in person at Loch Leven’s Larder in Kinross-shire, on Sunday 13 September, between 10am-noon.

Best known for her roles in Men Behaving Badly and Jonathan Creek, Caroline will be signing copies of her new book, Drawn to Nature – a follow up to her first book, the Sunday Times best-seller, Drawn to the Garden, which was shortlisted in the Book of the Year - Non-Fiction: Lifestyle & Illustrated category of the British Book Awards 2025. The book signing is free to attend.

The new book shares Caroline’s ideas for staying connected to nature and also includes anecdotes from her life as an actor, interwoven with memories of places and people that have shaped her love of the outdoors.

A keen artist all of her life, as well as a passionate gardener, the new book is illustrated with Caroline’s own drawings and paintings, capturing flora, fauna and landscapes.

With the assistance of her husband Sam, Caroline has also developed a range of personally illustrated products, including tea towels, aprons, gift cards and gardener’s hand salve and hand soap, scented with celery seed. The salve and soap are now stocked in the gift store at Loch Leven’s Larder, as well as online:

“We are thrilled that Caroline is joining us for this very special signing session of her book,” said Emma Niven, owner of Loch Leven’s Larder:

“For those who follow her gardening exploits on socials, it will be a real treat to finally meet her and have the opportunity to buy a signed copy of her latest book.

“Her love of wildlife and the outdoors, and her desire to document what she sees around her, really resonates with us here at Loch Leven’s Larder where we endeavour to present carefully curated gift collections that are that little bit different, supporting artisan producers like herself.”

Caroline has recently been filming Last Resort, a new drama series, for Channel 5, in which she stars with Tessa Peake-Jones and Jason Watkins.
