SOBR Bar, billed as Scotland’s first and only entirely alcohol-free cocktail bar and events space, is raising a glass to celebrate its first year in business.

The 22-seater bar in Aberdeen has already attracted accolades. Most recently, the venue took home the top prize at the DRAM magazine Scottish Bar and Pub Awards 2026, where it won the ‘Jump Ship Brewing Best Lo and No Destination’ award. It was also shortlisted in the Great British Pub Awards 2026 and is a finalist at next month’s Aberdeen Athena Awards.

Founder, Kate Kenyon, said: “As a small, independent business trying something completely new, this first year has been incredible, a real rollercoaster, but one that has been defined by our customers who have found in SOBR something that was badly needed.

“We’re a safe, inclusive, non-judgemental space where they can relax and enjoy zero-alcohol drinks that are curated with thought and attention to detail.”

“We set out to prove that memorable social experiences don't rely on alcohol, just great company, a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional taste. The response from the people of Aberdeen and beyond has been incredibly validating."

The bar offers zero-alcohol wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, as well as soft drinks, teas and coffees.
