Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa launches Sunday summer picnic brunches

May 25

The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews has introduced summer champagne picnic brunches, taking place on the first Sunday of each month, from June to September.

The events, which are ticketed, are in the hotel’s conservatory, where doors open onto the lawn, with a view across the historic Old Course.

The picnic is presented in handcrafted wooden boxes for two, and includes three glasses of Veuve Clicquot Champagne or of French Bloom, an alcohol-free, sparkling alternative from Limoux.

The chef-prepared picnics include sourdough bread with artisan chutneys; sable shortbread; focaccia sandwiches; and a hummus dip. In addition, the brunch event includes a pie and roll station, with charcuterie, cheeses and seasonal fresh vegetable crudités; a sweet station, with traditional favourites such as jellybeans; and a dessert selection, featuring macarons, tiramisu and brownies.

The Veuve Clicquot Picnic Brunch series will be held on 1 June, 6 July, 3 August and 7 September. Each event begins at 12:00pm and is priced at £70 per person.
