Dabton House unveils renovation of Dabton Lodge

Dabton House, in Dumfries and Galloway, has announced the completion of the renovation of Dabton Lodge, a beautifully restored, one-bedroom, self-catering property, designed as the perfect cosy retreat and base for exploring the area.

Located at the main entrance gateway of Dabton House, formerly the family home of the 10th Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, the Lodge has been thoughtfully renovated to reflect the refined interior style of the main house, which itself underwent a significant restoration just a few years ago. The result is an elegant yet intimate retreat that blends historic charm with contemporary comfort.

The interiors of the Lodge mirror the sophisticated décor of Dabton House, designed by the Countess of Dalkeith, drawing inspiration from the building’s heritage. Soft, timeless furnishings, high-quality finishes and a carefully curated colour palette create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for couples looking for the perfect countryside escape.

Dabton Lodge offers a secluded sanctuary just moments from Dabton House itself. For those looking to get married at the House, the Lodge allows the honeymooners the opportunity to extend their wedding experience in style.

As a fully self-catering property, it provides both flexibility and luxury, making it equally suitable for short romantic stays or longer countryside escapes.  It is also dog-friendly, with a number of walking trails right on the doorstep.
