An online magazine for and about businesses of all sizes, in Edinburgh and beyond

If you can’t wait for the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August, there’s another literary event to enjoy, in the meantime.
It’s not in the city, but 40 or so miles away, in the Borders town of Melrose. The Borders Book Festival, on 12-15 June, is held in the National Trust’s picturesque Harmony Garden, with its views across to Melrose Abbey and the Eildon Hills.
The line-up of events includes talks by a wide range of authors, including Michael Palin, Stacey Dooley, Kathy Lette, Ian Rankin and Alison Steadman, to name a few.
A few events are free: the cost of tickets for others ranges from £6-£20 (some are already sold out).
There’s also a bookshop and a food ‘village’ serving up seafood, pasta, Greek street food and ice creams, as well as beers, wine, gin and non-alcoholic drinks.
