Family-run Edinburgh property firm eyes further growth after major HQ move
A family-run Edinburgh property firm managing around 15,000 properties across Scotland has acquired new headquarters, as it marks 50 years in business and targets further growth.
Trinity Factoring Services, which provides property factoring, lettings and buildings-insurance services, has purchased the whole of the Canal Court office space on Craiglockhart Avenue, with support from a building-transition loan from Bank of Scotland.
Trinity, which has been in business for 50 years, currently employs 75 people, including 50 office-based employees and 25 field staff. Alongside its Edinburgh operations, the business also has an office in Rosemount, Aberdeen, to help manage its portfolio across the north and northeast of Scotland.
The premises, where each building has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B, comprise 11,000 net sq. ft. across two identical buildings located on the banks of the Union Canal, around a mile from Trinity’s existing Bruntsfield offices.
One building will provide enough space to accommodate Trinity’s Edinburgh workforce, while the second is currently occupied by charity Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), which will remain as a long-term tenant.
The move will allow Trinity to consolidate its two existing Edinburgh offices into one larger base, bringing its team together under one roof while creating additional capacity to support continued growth. Trinity owns its existing Edinburgh premises and plans to make the space available to tenants following the move, creating an additional income stream for the business.
Looking ahead, Trinity is exploring growth through acquisitions in the lettings, factoring and insurance markets, alongside the potential opening of additional offices.
Alasdair Seale, managing director said: “Reaching 50 years is something we’re incredibly proud of, but we’re equally focused on what comes next.
“Bringing our Edinburgh team together will make a big difference to how we work, while giving us the space to continue growing and creating opportunities for people to build careers within our business.
“Quality of service has always been at the heart of Trinity. Much of our growth has come through recommendations and longstanding relationships, and this investment gives us a strong base from which to continue building on that.”
