Deloitte has welcomed 73 graduates, apprentices on its BrightStart programme and industrial-placement students to its Scottish offices.

The new starters are located across the country, joining the firm's Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow offices in roles spanning audit and assurance; tax; technology and strategy; and risk and transactions advisory services.

The Scottish cohort forms part of a UK-wide intake of 1,500 early-careers professionals, including 1,353 new graduates, apprentices and industrial-placement students. This year’s early-careers intake also includes 130 individuals who joined Deloitte’s technical academies.

The new hires are based across 21 locations throughout the UK, with 44 per cent (590) starting their careers outside London.

Angela Mitchell, practice senior partner, Deloitte Scotland, said: "This year's intake reflects the strength and breadth of talent across Scotland and our continued investment in developing the skills and capabilities needed for the future of work.

"The organisations we work with are navigating significant change, from adopting AI to transforming services and investing for growth. Our people are at the heart of that work, helping clients solve complex problems and deliver outcomes that matter to businesses, communities and the wider Scottish economy.

“I've spent three decades at Deloitte and have seen how the skills people need in their roles continue to evolve. Our people will have the opportunity to develop the capabilities that organisations increasingly need as technology transforms the workplace. I'm excited to see the contribution they will make."
