CFW Ingredients & Equipment, the distribution division of Fife-based Sephra Europe, has been announced as the exclusive distributor and web-shop manager in the UK, of Domori’s professional couverture-chocolate range.

Product lines available to order now include three varieties of Criollo Cocoa chocolate – Chuao at 75 per cent, Ocumare at 72 per cent and Canoabo at 62 per cent.

The range also features other varieties of single-origin milk and dark chocolate, sourced from the world’s premier cocoa-producing countries, including Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Ivory Coast, Madagascar and Tanzania.

Sephra Europe, a market leader in dessert equipment and ingredient supplies, launched CFW in 2017 as its own distribution arm. It now supplies professional dessert-sector brands, such as Callebaut, Nestle, Nutella, Monin and Cadbury.

David Archer, managing director of Sephra Europe, said: “It’s an absolute honour for us to partner with the Domori brand, and its distributor, IRCA, in bringing the professional couverture-chocolate range to the UK.

"The opportunity to be involved in something as rare and special as Criollo chocolate certainly doesn’t come along every day. Domori is to be commended in its efforts to preserve this prized variety.

“The UK chocolate market has been stale, offering the same brands for far too long. We have an engaged customer base already, constantly looking to try new products, including the finest chocolates from all over the world. We view being able to sell Domori professional chocolate as the perfect fit for us both to push forward and achieve success.”

He also said he believed there to be additional synergy between the Domori brand and Sephra in their joint desire to cause an element of market disruption:

“The Domori professional couverture range is very much the ‘new kid on the block’, a brand with which UK-based chefs may not be hugely familiar. With our sales and marketing campaign underway, they now are. We are definitely disrupting the professional-chocolate choices in this country, setting the UK chocolate scene alight.

David added: “As Domori’s professional couverture-chocolate range grows in prominence in the UK, it’s essential that ordering is quick and easy.

“The B2B e-commerce web shop is a fantastic resource, and our staff are now fully trained on all product lines and making face-to-face visits to many of our existing customers to encourage them to get on board with Domori.”
