Wholesale Domestic appoints Anne Scullion as head of commercial

Bathroom specialist, Wholesale Domestic, has promoted Anne Scullion to head of commercial, as it brings its sales, marketing, brand, e-commerce and three Scottish showrooms within one commercial function, to continue its focus on growth and enhancing customer experience.

Anne joined the company in December 2020 as marketing manager and has progressed through the business since then, becoming senior brand and marketing manager in May 2024, before taking up her new position.

In her new role, Anne will oversee Wholesale Domestic’s commercial operations across sales, marketing, brand and e-commerce, as well as its showrooms in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

During her time with the business, Anne has played a key role in shaping how Wholesale Domestic attracts customers, presents its products and builds its brand. The firm said that her promotion reflects the breadth of her experience and the role she has played in supporting the company’s development across its customer-facing functions.

The decision to bring these areas together under one commercial lead is part of Wholesale Domestic’s focus on creating a more ‘joined-up’ operation as the business continues to grow. The aim is to strengthen collaboration and create greater consistency across the customer journey.

This approach will allow Wholesale Domestic to take a more integrated view of the customer experience – from the first online search, through to visiting a showroom and ultimately completing a bathroom project.

The appointment builds on Wholesale Domestic’s more than 60 years of experience in the bathroom sector, with Anne’s commercial, marketing and brand expertise helping the business build on its strong foundations and support its next phase of growth.

The business offers a comprehensive range of bathroom products, from bathroom furniture and showers to baths, toilets, brassware and accessories, helping customers create bathrooms to suit a wide range of styles and budgets.

Commenting on her promotion, Anne said: “Customers don't think in terms of marketing channels, whether they're browsing online, visiting a showroom or speaking to our team – it’s all part of one overall customer experience and journey.

“Getting that omnichannel experience right, so it feels genuinely joined-up at every step, will be central to how we grow. We've got a fantastic product range and a team that already delivers real value and inspiration for customers. I’m looking forward to connecting that more tightly with our digital experience and building on it from here."
