Leith-based Tailored Spirits Co, a start-up specialising in whisky supply, and creating brands and bottlings, has hired its first two new team members over the last few months.

The business, which launched in January 2024, took on graphic designer/illustrator, Hannah Sneddon, in March. Hannah has five years’ experience in the whisky sector. Rachel Macrae, who also has a background in the whisky industry, joined this month, to focus on project management and delivery.

Tailored Spirits recently announced a 900 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue.  The company also reported that it has acquired new clients in 14 countries, ranging from private cask owners and aspiring independent bottlers, through to whisky societies and global corporations.  It secured £100,000 at business-funding competition, Scottish Edge 2024.

Co-founder, Adam Harding, said: “With the current rate of growth, we are forecasting more team members before the year is out.

“We are also currently expanding our freelance network for project design and development talent. Additional marketing expertise will be required in the very near future too, along with a senior project-delivery position and a client-account-management role.

“However, we are very conscious of sustainable team growth, as we feel a deep responsibility to provide the best and most stable working environment for anyone that joins Team Tailored. We want to attract the best talent, and we want to do everything we can to retain it too.”

He added: “It's certainly comforting to see Tailored Spirits grow as quickly as it has – a real endorsement that we are onto something that brings real value to our clients.

“We're busy planning for the next phase of our growth and some exciting new steps in the development of our offering."
