Gavin Ruthven, The Dome’s general manager, won the ‘Manager of the Year’ award at the recent Scottish Bar and Pub Awards.

The Oscars-themed award ceremony took place at The Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow. Over 100 venues were shortlisted for the awards, which have been running for 30 years. Gavin was chosen from six finalists in his category.

Gavin has worked at the Dome for seven years and became general manager three and a half years ago. He joined the hospitality industry in 2009.

He said: “I’m absolutely delighted to receive such a prestigious award, and I really couldn’t have done it without the incredible team I’m lucky enough to work with."

The accolade for Gavin follows The Dome’s 2024 win, of the casual dining restaurant of the year award, at the SLTN awards.
