SCOTCH at The Balmoral celebrates leading women in whisky

SCOTCH whisky bar at The Balmoral has launched a new women-led flight in collaboration with whisky specialist, Stefanie Anderson.

Available now, through to September, the exclusive menu is the first in a series of partnerships with women in whisky. The menu brings together a signature cocktail and a curated whisky flight, all designed to spotlight a different perspective on whisky – one that puts flavour, storytelling and passion at the forefront and reinforces that whisky can be for everyone.

Stefanie, luxury ambassador for Diageo, has worked closely with Ross Barr, manager of SCOTCH, and the team, to shape the flight.  The collaboration not only introduces new flavour profiles and ways to explore whisky but also sets the tone for how SCOTCH will continue evolving its guest experience.

The menu introduces ‘La Dame du Usquabae’ – a mix of Cardhu 18 year old, white peach, apple, honey and citrus, topped with Champagne. Alongside, the menu features three drams – The Singleton of Dufftown 18 year old; Dailuaine 21 year old ‘Marbled Treasures’ (special release 2025); and Talisker 25 year old.

Stefanie said: “It’s been a pleasure working with Ross and the SCOTCH team on something that not only elevates the guest experience but brings a fresh perspective to the bar in a lasting and genuine way.

“The aim was to select whiskies that really speak through flavour and texture, and to show just how broad and exciting Scotch can be, especially for those who are ‘whisky-curious’ or who haven’t yet found their way in.”

Ross added: “Women play such an important role in shaping whisky, but they haven't always been front and centre in the industry.

“This is about bringing fresh perspectives forward in a way that feels natural, enjoyable and genuinely enhances how our guests experience whisky here in SCOTCH.”

SCOTCH is home to over 500 bottles spanning Scotland’s whisky regions. The bar is open Sunday–Thursday, 4pm–11:30pm, and Friday–Saturday, 3pm–midnight.
