Pegasus Group has expanded its national design capability by establishing its first dedicated team in Scotland. The firm said the move would strengthen its urban design, architecture and masterplanning services across public and private-sector development in Scotland and the north of England.

Based in Edinburgh, in Torphichen Street, the five-person team is led by Mike Ward, senior director – design lead, who will help grow Pegasus’ design presence across Scotland while supporting clients throughout the UK.

Mike brings over 20 years’ experience of delivering major urban design, architecture and masterplanning projects across Scotland and the north of England.

Joining him in the new Scotland team are Hamish Jack and associate urban designer, Sarah McKenzie, principal, urban design, as well as Callum Elliot-Muir and Quitterie d’Hacourt, both senior urban designers.

The expertise of the team spans strategic masterplanning, urban extensions, new settlements, residential layouts, regeneration projects and detailed design. Their experience covers projects from early spatial and conceptual design through to detailed delivery of high-quality places and communities.

Mike said: “Pegasus has the perfect blend of expert skills needed to support our clients through all areas of the design and planning process.

“Our masterplanning ethos has always been vision-led and collaborative. That will be the approach that underpins all the projects we take forward as we bring our ambitions for high-quality, sustainable places to life. We want to create environments that everyone in the community will enjoy and feel proud of.”

Pegasus Group was established in 2003 and now employs more than 400 employees across 13 locations.
