An online magazine for and about businesses of all sizes, in Edinburgh and beyond

A new Pilates studio has opened in St Colme Street, in the capital’s New Town.
Mena, founded by Simone Watson and her husband Neil, launched in May, with two rooms – one a barre studio with nine spaces and the other with six Pilates reformer machines.
The business has already grown, in the space of just a few weeks: it now has a total of six instructors, up from three, when it opened its doors.
Mena is also launching yoga classes, on 23 June and there are other new classes in the pipeline, including ‘Mummy + Me’, due to be added to the summer schedule, for parents and babies.
Simone and Neil have many years’ experience in the fitness industry, including more than a decade spent working in the Middle East. Neil is an ex-professional swimmer and has a BSc (Honours) in sports fitness and coaching.
Commenting on the new studio, Simone, who is also lead instructor, said: “We wanted to create a space that’s both energising and supportive.
“Pilates has the power to change the way people move and feel in their bodies, and we’re passionate about making it accessible and inspiring for all.”
The studio is offering introductory offers and trial packages for new clients, available for a limited time.
