Launch of coffee training hub for Scottish hospitality businesses

Edinburgh-based specialty coffee roasters, Machina Coffee Roasters, has announced the opening of a new training, events and showroom space.

The new hub, designed to develop and inspire specialty coffee creators, is a state-of-the-art showroom featuring industry-leading technology.

The showroom will provide businesses with an environment to test new equipment and concepts and to train baristas. Designed as a fully interactive space, it will allow teams to explore the latest developments in coffee technology. The venue will also host industry events and workshops, creating a flexible hub for learning, networking and knowledge sharing across the sector.

Steve Glencross, managing director at Machina Coffee Roasters, said: Great coffee offers a significant opportunity for hospitality businesses to improve profitability, while supporting the overall customer experience – an area that is commonly overlooked.

“We recognised that our customers in Scotland lacked a dedicated off-site space to develop their skills and explore new products, which led us to create a hub designed specifically for that purpose. I am so proud of what our team has achieved, and I can’t wait to see the space in action.”

The hub is based at unit 10, 25 King’s Haugh.
