Entries for the 2025 Scottish Excellence Awards, which showcase hospitality-industry achievements, close at midnight on Friday 21 November.

Winners will be revealed at a gala dinner on 26 March 2026, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh.

The initiative, which originally launched in 2004 as the CIS Excellence Awards, is a celebration of Scotland's hospitality, food service and tourism sectors.

From outstanding chefs, restaurants, hospitality educators and hotels, to pubs, employees and well-being-focused businesses, the awards champion the trailblazers who are transforming Scotland’s hospitality scene through exceptional service, consistent innovation and a commitment to sustainability.

There are 14 award categories, including the sustainable business award; the banqueting and events chef award; and the employee engagement and retention award.

Co-founder, Alex Buchanan, said: ‘From when we first launched the awards over two decades ago, Scotland’s hospitality scene has evolved beyond all recognition.

“It’s a resilient industry, full of highly skilled, inspiring individuals who are consistently innovating and reinventing themselves and their businesses. These are the people who deserve recognition and reward for their hard work.”

Last year’s winners included Edinburgh’s Mercat Tours. Chefs, Dean Banks, of the Dean Banks Group and Mathew Sherry, of Number One at The Balmoral were highly recommended.
