Hansar reports bumper year for mortgage business

Mortgage broker, Lynsey McMenemy, has announced that 2024 has been the best year for her business since its launch in 2021.

She revealed that she had hit her six-figure turnover target by early September, three months ahead of her year end.      

She also reported a 300 per cent rise in the volume of mortgage life cover and income-protection business, as well as a 50 per cent increase in mortgage business written by Hansar, compared with the previous year.

Lynsey had built a career in the property sector before launching her own mortgage company. She had the idea during lockdown, when she was mulling over how best to create a fulfilling and flexible working life, with her three children in mind. 

Decision made, she then completed her CeMAP exams in the space of a few months and launched Hansar soon afterwards.

She has a tip for others looking to build a successful business, as she explains: “Resilience is key. Also, get a very good network behind you and work hard for every client so that they refer you to others.”
