We’re coming to the end of the flower season, but there’s still time to pick your own at the North Berwick Flower Company, at its farm on the Archerfield Estate in East Lothian. All you have to do is book a slot for your visit, drop by and pick whichever flowers appeal most to you. The way it works is that you either choose a jam jar or a florist’s bucket to hold the blooms that you choose. The jam jar holds around six stems and the bucket takes 12. You can take the jam jar home with you, but if you go for the 12-flower option, they’ll be wrapped for their onward journey. Looking for some gardening tips?
