Edinburgh golf club launches drive to champion women’s golf
Duddingston Golf Club, which was established in 1895, has announced an initiative aimed at expanding its ladies’ section and identifying the region’s next elite female golfer.
The club, which has a scenic, parkland course, located at the foot of Arthur’s Seat, said it is perfectly positioned to offer experienced golfers and those new to the sport the opportunity to take their game to the next level.
Club captain Pauline Davie, Duddingston’s assistant professional, Katie Graham and general manager, Niall Watson are eager to welcome both newcomers to the game and seasoned players looking for a dynamic club to call home.
Members have direct access to Katie’s coaching and mentorship. A professional golfer and former Scotland Women’s international, she turned professional in October 2025 and is currently completing the first year of her PGA training. She is also an ambassador for the Stephen Gallacher Foundation, supporting the development of junior golf across Scotland.
Niall said: "We are incredibly proud of the environment we've built here at Duddingston, and we want to see our ladies' section continue to grow.
“With Pauline’s fantastic leadership as club captain and Katie’s top-tier professional insight, there has never been a better time for women to join the club. We are deeply committed to growing the women's game, and we are actively looking to support and develop the next elite female talent right here on our course."
For women who are looking for social golf or elite coaching to compete at the highest levels, the club is opening its doors and inviting them to the tee.
