Edinburgh entrepreneur creates new 3D browser game

Edinburgh tech-business founder, Simon Crack, has created a new, free 3D browser game, KlipZi City: Absolute Chaos.

He reported creating the game after giving GPT-6, OpenAI's latest AI model a single prompt and then testing the results for just over half an hour.

The game allows players to drive around a 3D city, collect taxi passengers, deliver newspapers, complete shifts and take on other small jobs.

Players can earn in-game cash; damage and repair their car; jump ramps; and switch the city between modern day, 1996 and 1986. It can be played in a browser without registering or downloading anything.

Commenting on the creation of the game, Simon, founder of app-development company, Dead Cool Apps and AI video platform KlipZi, said: “This shows how quickly a daft idea can now become a working prototype.

“A year or two ago I would probably have written the idea down and forgotten about it. This time I could test whether it was any fun almost immediately.”

Simon also believes that the latest AI tools create the opportunity for individuals and small businesses to test and complete ideas that previously required a development team.

He added: “I’m not a traditional game developer and I wasn’t sitting there writing all the code myself. My job was deciding what the game should do, giving the AI clear rules and then testing whether it worked.

“That changes who can build things. Small businesses can now try ideas that would previously have been too expensive or taken months to develop.”
