Edinburgh chef, Maria Harper, founder of the Edinburgh Canapé Company, is inviting food lovers to get creative in the kitchen, with a hands-on, canapé-cookery class.

The class is taking place on Saturday 31 October, from 10.30am-2pm, at Cyrenians Flavour and Haver Cook School in Leith.

The event offers participants the opportunity to learn how to make five delicious, beautifully presented canapés from scratch.

Designed for anyone who enjoys cooking and wants to feel more confident when entertaining at home, the session will combine practical cooking, chef's tips and inspiration.

Maria, who launched the business in 2019, said: “I love showing people that making canapés doesn't have to be complicated.

"It's about good ingredients, interesting flavour combinations and a few simple techniques that can make a real difference when you're entertaining. I want people to leave feeling inspired and confident to try something new in their own kitchens.”

She added: “With Christmas just around the corner, the class is a chance to pick up new skills, discover fresh ideas and bring a little creativity to festive entertaining."

Participants will work together in a relaxed, friendly environment, preparing the canapés before sitting down to enjoy their creations around the table.
