Accountability Edinburgh targets further success
Accountability Edinburgh is hoping to complete a memorable year with success at the
Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Impact Awards.
The firm has been shortlisted in three categories – Practice of the Year, Digital Finance Pioneer and Bookkeeper of the Year.
Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in London today (Friday 7 November).
The firm recently landed a hat-trick of prestigious awards. As well as being crowned Bookkeeping Partner of the Year for the second year running and Client
Champion of the Year at the Xero awards in London in September, Accountability also scooped Bookkeeping Team of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards.
The AAT Practice of the Year award recognises an outstanding accountant or bookkeeper who has demonstrated excellence in client service, innovation and sustainable business.
The Bookkeeper of the Year Award is a new category and will reward someone who not only demonstrates exceptional accuracy and professionalism, but also makes a lasting impact, whether through driving business success, delivering exemplary service to clients, or growing their own thriving practice.
The Digital Finance Pioneer Award is another new category, being awarded to someone who embraces technology to transform finance functions or practices, whether through digitising workflows, adopting AI or leading on finance transformation.
Accountability Edinburgh was founded in 2012 to provide accounting and bookkeeping support to owners of small businesses who typically only get support from their accountant once a year.
Founder, Rosie Berridge, who is up for the digital award, set up the firm at a point where she had three small children - and she was determined to offer flexible working opportunities. Since then, the business has grown to team of 16, with plans for further, continued expansion.
Welcoming the AAT nominations, she said: “We are a dynamic practice determined to deliver great outcomes for our clients. We transform the way small businesses experience accounting and it’s a real honour to be recognised in this way.
“We were delighted with our successes in September and hopefully we can add to them.
“None of this would be possible without the fantastic team behind us and it’s everybody’s hard work and commitment to putting our clients at the heart of everything we do that has taken us to where we are.”
