Well-being company’s customers gift 52 ‘confidence boxes’ to support young girls
Happy Thoughts Squad has donated 52 ‘confidence-boosting’ boxes to the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal, on behalf of its customers, ensuring vulnerable girls wake up to a meaningful gift on Christmas morning.
Each box is designed as a confidence and emotional well-being kit, filled with age-appropriate, screen-free activities that support self-esteem and emotional understanding.
Founded in 2025 by former primary teacher, Cheryl Lessels, Happy Thoughts Squad was created to make girls’ emotional well-being support simple and accessible for busy families, through monthly, themed boxes focused on confidence, resilience and self-belief.
In the run up to Christmas, Cheryl invited customers to buy a ‘box of confidence’ that she would then donate on their behalf to Cash for Kids. She also reduced the cost of the boxes by 25 per cent.
The initial target was 10 boxes, but this soon increased: “We quickly reached 20, then 30 boxes and thanks to the generosity of our customers and community, we were able to donate a total of 52 boxes,” said Cheryl:
“I’m completely blown away by people’s kindness,” she added.
The donated boxes will be distributed to vulnerable young girls across Scotland, giving them the chance to open the present of a curated well-being kit that supports confidence, calm and self-belief at what can be a difficult time of year:
“This has shown me that even as a small business, we can make a big impact when people come together,” said Cheryl:
“Huge thanks to everyone who chose to gift a box – together, you’ve helped give girls the gift of confidence this Christmas.”
