Rettie announces opening of 11th office

Estate and lettings agency, Rettie has announced plans to open its 11th office in the spring, on Morningside Road, in Edinburgh’s south side.

The new branch will be its first ‘multi-channel’ office, providing sales, lettings and financial services. It is Rettie’s third Edinburgh location; the other two are based at Wemyss Place and Jamaica Street, both in the New Town. 

The firm said that the decision to open an office on the south side was based on client interest in the area, and the properties it offers in localities such as Morningside, the Grange, Bruntsfield and Marchmont.

Rettie is currently putting together the team for the new branch and has recruited Laura Mathieson, as associate director.  Laura is a previous employee, who has returned after a stint at Savills. She has in-depth knowledge of Edinburgh’s south side, Rettie reported:

“There is something for everyone in the south side,” observed Laura. 

The firm plans to start with a team of eight-10 people at Morningside Road and anticipates adding to the team as the business grows.

Commenting on the opening, Laura said:

“This feels like a natural next step for us as a business. We will be well-placed to be of great help to sellers in the area.”
