Holyrood PR’s next 12-week graduate placement programme begins in July, with interviews taking place around the middle of May.
Chris Fairbairn, deputy managing director said: “As our placement scheme is quarterly, we aim to have four graduates join us over the course of the year.”
He added: “We feel it is really important to keep the scheme open for applications year-round, as there are so few opportunities for young people to gain fully paid PR-agency experience.”
Commenting on the attributes the firm is looking for, he said: “The key thing for us is curiosity – a desire to understand our business and the work that we do, and what sets us apart within the industry.
“We also really value somebody who is able to come in and be a positive influence in the office, get stuck in and take pride in the small details.”
The firm recently offered a permanent role, as account executive, to graduate, Jennifer Alexander-Young, who took up her new position in February.
Over the last few months, Jennifer has been involved in a wide variety of PR work, including preparing and taking part in successful new business pitches; helping establish social-media strategies; and providing input for delivering training, across the legal, property and retail sectors,
