New seafood menu at The Duck & Waffle, to celebrate St James Quarter Seafood Festival
The Duck & Waffle Edinburgh has launched a new seafood menu, available from 1 May, in celebration of the St James Quarter Seafood Festival, which runs from 3-5 May.
The restaurant has also introduced a new ‘oyster hour’, taking place every Sunday-Friday, from 4-7pm, in the bar and on the terrace.
The new seafood menu features starters such as scorched Scottish mussels with nduja cream; mains include fish and chips, complemented with curry sauce, tartare sauce and mushy peas; and desserts include a caramelised white-chocolate tart, with sea salt, crème fraîche and macerated Scottish berries.
Executive chef, Jonathon Bowers will be hosting a live cooking demonstration on 4 May, at 3pm, highlighting wine and seafood pairings.
He said: "We are excited to be part of the St James Quarter Seafood Festival and to showcase the incredible seafood that Scotland has to offer.
“Our new, seafood set menu reflects our commitment to sustainability and supporting local, Scottish seafood suppliers, while also providing a memorable dining experience for our guests at the Edinburgh restaurant".
The seafood set menu is available until 31 May and is priced at £30 for two courses or £38 for three courses.
