It was the end of an era when Bell’s Diner on St Stephen Street closed, but a new restaurant, the Stockbridge Eating House, is taking its place. It's due to open on 17 October, the head chef said when interviewed recently in the Scotsman. The menu is a little different from its previous occupant’s, featuring goat kebab; bone marrow and parsley; and sea-buckthorn curd doughnuts, but intriguingly, there is also a ‘Bell’s burger’ Stockbridge Eating House.
