Café Calton unveils seasonal evening menu and pre-theatre set menu
Café Calton head chef, Iain Thomson, has created a new, seasonal evening menu, which features heartier dishes as colder nights arrive.
The dishes include steak frites (Koffman fries with garlic and parsley butter); sea bream with fregola and lemon butter sauce; home-made tagliatelle with Scottish mushrooms and 36-month aged parmesan; and crispy chicken, with hot honey and sesame seeds.
He said: “Autumn and winter are some of the most inspiring times of year to cook in Scotland – the flavours are bold, the ingredients are robust and there’s a real sense of comfort that comes through in every dish."
The evening menu is now available and the two or three-course, pre-theatre menu launches on 10 October.
