Law firm, Holmes Mackillop has announced the appointment of Lauren Brown, as a paralegal in its Giffnock office.
Lauren qualified as a conveyancing paralegal in 2023 and brings over 15 years’ experience in residential property work, with a particular focus on high‑volume remortgage transactions.
Prior to joining Holmes Mackillop, she gained extensive experience at a Glasgow-based firm acting for lenders, where she developed in-depth understanding of lender requirements, title issues and fast-paced transaction management.
Welcoming Lauren to the firm, practice manager, Carol Ann McKellar, said: “Lauren’s appointment to our busy Giffnock branch comes on the back of a buoyant local market which has given us the confidence to invest further in the services we can offer to the local community.”
Lauren’s appointment follows the promotion of two trainees to solicitor in the firm’s Glasgow office. Following completion of their traineeship, Paul Campbell and Liam Reilly have taken up the position of solicitor, in the firm’s property and corporate teams respectively.
Four trainee solicitors, Aidan Dunn, Sam Hamilton, Olivia McCue and Kate Maguire have also joined the firm. Aidan is based in the Glasgow office dispute resolution and litigation department; Sam’s traineeship has begun in the wills, estates and future planning team, also in the Glasgow office; Olivia is in the Giffnock office, where she will focus on residential and commercial conveyancing; and Kate has joined the Glasgow office’s litigation department where she will support clients in areas such as family law, employment law and debt recovery.
