Café Calton, located at the top of Calton Hill, and offering panoramic views across Edinburgh, has now opened.

The menu includes a wide range of dishes including haggis toasties, smoked salmon on buttered crumpets and raspberry and matcha chia pudding, as well as wine, coffee and cocktails.  A takeaway menu is also available.

As well as an indoor space, the café has an outdoor terrace, which seats 40.

Commenting on the opening, Stefano Pieraccini, managing director of The Rocca Group, said:

"We sought to create a unique location, where the vistas are complemented by the ambience, service and cuisine. Whether you're joining us after a stroll or meeting friends for brunch, lunch or evening bites, we want you to feel like you're part of something very special".

Reservations can be made from 22 June.

Café Calton is the latest addition to Stefano’s restaurant portfolio, which features venues such as The Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews and The Broughton in the capital’s  New Town.
